It’s not the new Sony/Cannon/Olympus point-and-shoot mega megapixel camera, it’s Laser Atlanta’s SpeedLaser B radar which utilizes LIDAR technology that can give a reading in 0.3 seconds. It also includes proprietary stealth features, jammer detection and inclement weather modes. Perhaps this will keep Mike Valentine busy for a while.

next up for cops…brain tumors. i dont think i would wanna have that strapped to my head for a 8 hour shift. maybe its just me
That’s my hometown baby… it’s hard to speed in the Atl.
whenever you are transmitting a signal that has to reflect off of something to work, you can’t be “stealthy”, so I’d imagine that detectors will still work.

I think it will be a long time before we see this device in wide spread usage. Many Police forces in the US are still using radar, and many will keep using the current laser guns for sometime to come. In the mean time civilian hardware companies will update their technologies to be more stealthy against the SpeedLaser B.
Laser Jammers have no fear against this gun. It uses the same pulse rate as the Laser Atlanta Laser Gun.
I don’t understand how this is a bigger threat than what’s out there. In most states diffusers are legal, and as long as you slow down and turn it off the cop can’t do anything. Just don’t be an a$$h@le and Jam to the Gun (if you even can), then you are asking for trouble.
I think the cops have won this round. But have no fear something better will eventually come along. And then we’ll win the war.
