Alas, Team Polizei does not accept applications for driver positions. Past drivers were recruited based on close personal relationships, semi-pro (or better) rally/racing/track experience and significant contributions in both time and resources to each events’ Herculean preparatory requirements. The bottom line is…everyone has to start at the bottom. Everyone here did, and did so the hard way. |
| How do I become a Team Polizei co-pilot/navigator? |

Team Polizei maintains an emergency list of backup co-pilots in the event the primary is unavailable. If you possess a clean license, rally navigator experience and/or professional driving school training, are highly skilled with electronics, have 20/20 eyesight, never get carsick, can pay your proportional share of all event entry fees and associated costs of team participation, and are available to travel worldwide on 24 hours notice at your expense, we’d like to hear from you. | Why is Team Polizei’s number "144"? |
|
"144" was, according to rumor, the ID of a now-defunct German Highway Patrol unit. When Alex Roy suggested to Gumball 3000 HQ that Team Polizei be allowed to use it on the 2003 rally, they agreed…and a new legend was born. |
