Something HUGE is brewing at Top Gear, and I’m NOT talking about the confusion over at NBC’s we-hope-will-be-even-half-as-good-as-the-UK-version-but-can’t-be US version of Top Gear.
And we’ve seen Top Gear’s smoking gun pitch. Yes. That is, if it’s real. I think it is. Maybe. Probably.
Think Top Gear on ice. Almost. Yes. It’s true.
Big news looms - maybe - regarding Top Gear USA’s future, according to our anonymous, disparate and usually credible sources.
What could it be? Here’s my list, in descending order…
To kick off Alex’s "The Driver" European Book Tour, Team Polizei’s UK-based Master Pilot Michael Ross procured yet another addition to the Polizei fleet - a black 2000MY E39 BMW M5, 144R. This one sports a roll cage, a noticeably lower suspension and numerous as yet-unrevealed invisible modifications. Aside from accompanying Roy und Ross on future European events, 144R is also being prepped for a dash/run/lap that will be revealed soon. Very soon. Stay tuned.

Twas a pity about Dakar’s cancellation. Its timing was tragic, but its reasoning appeared sound. I feel for the drivers & teams who lost a fortune. But…now a new, as-yet unverifiable and potentially total BS rumor is circling:
Another major international rally may be cancelled.
Allegedly.
If so, the organizers may claim they can’t guarantee the safety of the drivers.

If my guess is correct…I tooooootally predicted this one. Behind closed doors, of course. In whispers. And I bet I’m not alone.
Better hold onto your rally deposits…until the deadlines.
Just in case, so no one gets hurt.
I heard it isn’t the Unlimited, or Bueller, or Londino, or The Great Race.
