Team Polizei Press Page Updated. Finally.

For everyone who’s been asking for me to update our Press page with everything that’s run in recent months, here you go. And yes, I know Letterman hasn’t happened…but a little bird told me something.

Anyway, I still need to cross-link the (temporarily orphaned page of) reviews for "The Driver" and our as-yet updated video links, but 95% of the U.S. links are there. Europe is coming soon.

Published in the following categories: "The Driver" (Book), Adam Carolla, Alex Roy, Books, Bravery, Davey Johnson, Genius, Media - Miscellaneous, Media - Print/Online, Media - Video, Mike Spinelli, NPR, Ray Wert, TV, Team Polizei - Miscellaneous, Too Good To Be True, Wikipedia and Wired.

I Spoke It. But I Didn’t Write It.

I didn’t write that joke, but I’ll take Spinelli’s word for it: it might have been funny out of anyone else’s mouth. Maybe.

Team Polizei’s Alumnus J.F. Musial Published on Jalopnik!

Congratulations to Team Polizei alumnus, 31:04 chase car driver/logistics planner and old friend J.F. Musial on graduating to the…er…pinnacle of automotive journalism…ok, ok, I love Autoblog as well, and TTAC.

But yes. J.F. has agreed to be a rare contributor on Jalopnik. Once home to Davey Johnson and recently departed Mike Spinelli - both good friends and witnesses to our 31:04 record run - new Editor-In-Chief Ray Wert was wise enough to ask Mr. Musial to join up.

Congrats, J.F. Here’s his first story.

Alex Roy Makes Wikipedia…but for how long?

Amazing. I’ve…er…made it into Wikipedia. LOL. I recall someone creating a Wiki page for me a few years ago, but Wikipedia’s ever watchful volunteers deemed me - as per their necessary but occasionally arbitrary policy - "not sufficiently noteworthy" at the time.

They were probably right, at least according to my mom.

Fox News on our US Transcontinental Record Run

Fox NewsShepard Smith & Rick Leventhal interviewed me yesterday and today about the run, my book "The Driver" and Cory Welles’ upcoming "32 Hours, 7 Minutes". Read and/or watch last night’s story.

New York Times on Team Polizei’s Transcontinental Run!

The New York Times has just posted David Shaftel’s article on our Transcontinental Record Run, also covered in great detail in Wired and Jalopnik here and here. Shaftel was kind enough to mention my book "The Driver" - which covers the run in great detail, for those un-offended by our quest…

Winding Road on Jalopnik Editors’ Split over Record Run

Winding Road just posted a peice regarding the split opinions on our Record Run over at Jalopnik. Spinelli & Johnson - both witnesses - wrote primarily positive accounts about our preparations, reservations and fear…and the potential meaning of our quest. Wert - who wasn’t a witness and declined both to read my book and/or interview me about my own reservations both before and after - wrote a highly negative peice which has become the primary bonfire around which critics have gathered.

Selling books aside - I certainly would like the opportunity to talk about the more serious philosophical, moral and legal aspects of the Record Run. As time allows, I will do so in the coming days.

Our Secret Is Revealed. The Driver. 32 Hours, 7 Minutes. The Plan. The Car. The Assault on the US Transcontinental Record.

After two years of secrecy, the true story of our secret project - as told in "The Driver" and to be seen in the upcoming "32 Hours, 7 Minutes" - is revealed.

Esquire ran a blurb that hinted at it last week, but it was Jalopnik moved first. Wired will run a huge story online tomorrow morning. Autoblog will follow, then the New York Times, 0-60, GT Spirit & Fast Lane Daily.

This is what "The Driver" is about. Read it. Tomorrow.
