Team Polizei’s friends over at the Arbuckle Group are now broadcasting LIVE using Seero.com. Team Arbuckle are the support car for Ashley Van Dyke, allegedly. More to follow, as they are now eading east on I-580 toward I-5. Maybe…
And yes, we know the GPS map function is going in and out…
The 3G iPhone’s CeoC just jumped to 1.0. A full 1.0. Even though my primary phone is a Blackberry, I love my two old-school iPhones. Don’t ask me why I have two. Just know that I love them. Yes, the keyboards suck while driving, and yes, they lack copy and paste, search and GPS, but I love them because they’re…oh, whatever. I’m just a Mac guy, and even though mine can’t run Dynolicious the way the 3G iPhones can, well, now I’ve got a reason to upgrade to the 3G hardware.
Dynolicious is any serious driver’s dream - a G-meter/performance measurement app that uses the 3G iPhone’s accelerometer to supply you your (and your car’s) performance data…the same data previously only available through various aftermarket single-purpose devices cost $99-500. According to the developer, the app will be downloadable via the Apple’s App Store in July, which means it should already be there…even though it isn’t. Whether you should buy a 3G iPhone just to use this…that’s up to you…
The UK’s Finest News Source* - also known as the Daily Sport - published the first of seven excerpts from "The Driver" today, obviously targeted at the very same readership I had in mind when I wrote the book…and that I belong to :-). I have to say I’m also a big fan of the liquor ad on the left side of my full page spread. If you have to ask (and you’re NOT at work) please click through for The Daily Sport’s homepage. I was a guest last night on CBC’s "The Hour", a late-night Canadian talk show hosted by former DJ/VJGeorge Stroumboulopoulos. About 50% less political and 80% less scripted than The Daily Show, I wish it aired south of the border, and not just because I was given free reign all day to shoot the most free-wheeling, un-censored series of interviews in Team Polizei history. The best part is, I completely forgot to mention the name of my book or Cory Welles’ movie. The main interview with George aired live last night, and the others - including my un-planned, un-scripted, un-rehearsed nine minute riff on Rendezvous - should go up on their official site within a day or two. (I sure hope my jet lag, quad-shot coffee and cold weren’t too obvious.)
