Team Polizei Wallpaper of the Day #6 shows one of our first tests of the Raytheon Thermal Night Vision system custom (and expertly) installed by AI Design last year. The black & white image is displayed on an Alpine display center-mounted atop the dash and angled toward the driver. A second Alpine display is mounted below the passenger-side airbag.

The world’s most infamous E39 BMW M5 has finally returned home from the 2007 Gumball 3000. I will retreive it later today from Horseless Carriage - the only automotive shipping company I trust - from whose Patterson, New Jersey depot I will slowly drive it - still in Gumball livery - back to Team Polizei’s secret garage bunker in Greenwich Village, hoping to avoid making any new friends in law enforcement. Luckily, Team Polizei has indeed made some new friends - real friends - in the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, not that there’s anything they could do if I was really foolish. (Hey Mr. D…you know who you are!)
After a quick refit at AI Design, Team Polizei will begin a series of surprise appearances at local car events as the "The Driver" book tour approaches. More to follow.
(Thanks to Mark @ Fromm America for ensuring a quick customs process.)

Team Polizei’s trusted friends at AI Design just got this shout-out from European Car for the stunning CLS55 AMG they built for DC shoes founder Ken Bloch. I’ve seen this car in person, and although I generally could care less about most aftermarket work - at any price - AI’s work is utterly gorgeous, and even more impressive in person.
