Now here’s a politician whose motives and character are utterly transparent. Behold! Boris Johnson…London’s new mayor, and an opponent of the congestion charges that nearly brought Porsche and Boris’ predecessor Ken LIvingstone to legal blows.

Boris was born in NY, and now oversees the police and traffic divisions in London. Surely Alex and Max have him on their call list to allow Gumball 14 to shut the city of London down prior to the 2012 Olympics. I hope to see his name again soon for allowing some cool stuff to happen!
I had wondered about that, now red Ken’s out of office.
That picture says it all; I wish him the best of luck as the new mayor of London.
Now, after he kills the congestion charges, can he also turn off all the cameras? No need for London to keep pretending it’s “1984″ still.
Well he’s said he’ll abolish the stupid £25 charge, and look at getting rid of the (completely pointless) western extension.
But I’m not sure he said he’d scrap the whole thing.
Come on now…. the first part of his manifesto is about making public transport more bearable by banning consumption of alcohol onboard from June. I doubt that London will become a more car-friendly city - it goes deeper than just his pledges; it’s an pure push against motorists and will try and tart up a very poor public transport system without need for much significant investment.
Let’s face it - us motorists are good for bumping up the police coffers. CCTV has just been proven not to have any real effect in the UK, but GATSOs cream the cash: maybe if burglars, murderers, rapists and street thugs had a licence plate justice would be more effective. Not an ID card or chip, just a licence plate…
