A nice little video - mercifully free of stupid background music - showing what BMW’s factory night vision camera display looks like. I don’t use this, of course, as the Team Polizei E39 M5 was designed nearly 10 years ago, manufactured 8 years ago and purchased by the team merely 5 years ago - before such systems became available, let alone affordable…
I would love to know whose camera BMW uses. I opted for the L3 NightDriver system, whose bumper-mounted camera appears slightly larger than BMW’s. Neither company has made it easy to see the spec on their cameras - I’d love to see a comparison of various manufacturers’ implementations of this priceless safety feature…range, resolution, display clarity, etc…
