Yeah Alex, the “awkward moment” was great. I what rolling on the floor knowing that you had caught Letterman on his suspension. It took me a while to explain to all my friends what was so funny. Loved it man. Keep up the great work!
Great Interview, but it was too short. If those writers wern’t on strike I bet the interview would have gone on longer. Too bad we didn’t see any clips from 31:07 apart from the 3 seconds at the end of the intervew. I thought it was hilarious how David thought Ross’s Bently Continental GT was the BMW E39! Then he says (referring to the second picture) “What were you guys doing here?”

Loved the book, btw. Did you have any time at all after the interview to talk cars/rallying with Dave, or did they just rush you off the stage? He’s a big automotive enthusiast. I would think that he would have been interested in talking with you during the break.

Didn’t know Dave had lost his license and can’t find anything about it with a quick google search, so a nice little inside-joke there. Maybe spill some more beans on this? What an honor to be featured on the show, I think the interview was excellent and I think you got a lot more coverage and on-air time than comparable guests on the show (the intro was pretty lenghty and funny!). It would be interesting to get some followup posts here with inside anectotes on being on the show, was ‘Monty’ around, haven’t seen her in a while..

If only you could’ve got to Dave a lil sooner, you could’ve taught him a few tricks on how to avoid all those speeding ticket he’s gottin’ from that long drive he does from CT to NY everyday to work. He’s been getting nail with tickets for years now on the Merritt Pky, guess its about time he go his license suspended.

I loved the interview… but like most people said, it felt like he cut you short. I guess that’s the planning of television, though.
