It’s well after the fact. But I would have thought that going to N Korea to meet Kim would have been a great opportunity to see if he was a car guy as well. maybe convert him with 12 cylinders of high octane fun and get a police escort to break the land speed record on a N korean freeway.

Then again for 60K GBP, I could afford to put in my own entry for the Nurburgring 24hr, which, I’m sorry to say, is more fun than the gumball (any year).

well considering the gumball usually has silly luxury events along the way, I can’t see any problem with one in N.Korea, especially seeing as the US government has been in trade and talks with the north Koreans for some months now.
then again, i’m not a knee-jerk America, f— yeah, idiot, so i guess my views don’t count for sh1t, right?

I thought the Gumball was a rally! this seems to be a glorified Fly Drive!! albeit an extremely expensive one. Why not include Tibet and be a real ambassador!!

Gutted!!

I have been wanting to enter a Gumball 3000 rally for years! I finally have a car worth driving in it but as I’m just your average Blue Collared Joe, I don’t have £60,000 just laying around to pay for entry!! What’s up with that? I could have found a way to scrape up £28,000 but 60!!! What the hell!!

Oh well, back to the normal track days and a non Rally road trip to the Nurburgring I guess!!

I definitely think that the ‘08 G3k will be incredibly hard for Max & Julie to pull off, especially with their green mission and the political muddle of involving North Korea.

Good luck none the less, but there are certainly easier ways to put on an amazing anniversary rally.
