After a police escort early this morning, the Gumballers finally made it to Hahn Airport, just west of Frankfurt. Team Polizei’s goal of driving straight to Istanbul was subsequently abandoned after the German Police forbade Herr Roy and Master Piloten Ross from leaving the Hahn checkpoint. Team Polizei therefore joined fellow Gumballers for the plane ride to Istanbul where once they had arrived, received some discomforting news. The planes carrying the cars to Istanbul from Hahn were not allowed to fly to Turkey; instead they were diverted to Athens. As of last report from Team Polizei, Gumball staff has announced that Gumballers will be flown to Athens and the rally will continue from there.

GL on your drive back to londen. and avoid the main roads like hell from now on :p might lose time being on slower roads but you pick it up by not standing still for 5 hours…
The effort is what counts, but its good that the gumball will continue. Maybe in another ocation we can see some even greater challanged, all the best and may Team Polezei continue on!
Same sad story about the gumball organization year after year…
Last year was the insurance issue just 2 days before the rally starts. This year the planes.
How disappointing…
After seeing some videos I think it is normal that the police decided to stop cars yesterday. Some entrants this year just doesn’t know how to drive at high speed and are very dangerous. The only problem I see with the Gumball and the others rallies, now you just need to have money to enter those events. But money will never replace driving skills.
I know very well Alex and he shouldn’t be part of the cars stopped. Alex is an excellent driver, one of the best I know

Gumball participants are stupid idiots and ignorant people. Wasting money. Stop the idiots were you can. Take there cars and put them into jail or even better sent them to the poorest places of the world to get the real adventure which they want.

unfortunately there are too many drivers not respecting national law. These drivers, for the safety of everyone, have to be stopped. Otherwise, accident will happen and just did happen!
I can only support any police force in taking action againt wreckless driving. Exceeding inner-city speed-limits by 50km/h is wreckless driving.
