The trial of Nick Morley (above), the Gumball 3000 driver charged in the deaths of two Macedonians in a May 2nd car accident, is scheduled to start on Friday.
This happened before our site redesign, so I’m a little late in posting the link to Ezra Dyer’s peice in Automobile, or you can download the PDF from GT Spirit.

I’m not surprised. I warily wrote about this the week before the tragedy in Macedonia on this year’s Gumball.
Last week Team Polizei pledged $10,000 toward the creation of the Vladimir and Margarita Cepuljoski Memorial Fund. We have since spoken to Gumball Team 53’s Peter Hendricks, who, based in Holland, has also begun an effort to raise monies in support of the Cepuljoski family. The Gumball 3000 organization, the Morley family and numerous Gumballers and fans have already expressed their commitment to supporting this effort.

Team Polizei’s Alex Roy & Michael Ross would like to express its condolences to the family of Vladimir and Margarita Cepuljoski, victims of the tragedy in Macedonia last Wednesday, May 2nd as a result of an accident on the 2007 Gumball 3000.
David Johnson of Jalopnik, one of the few print journalists actually on the 2007 Gumball, has just published his initial report on the incidents of last week. Read it here.
